Impact & export

A short supply chain, from the field to the client

From harvest to delivery to our clients, every step is designed to limit intermediaries and transport footprint.

Carbon footprint

A low-impact production

Ylang-ylang harvesting involves no mechanisation: flowers are picked by hand, one by one, with no chemical inputs or powered irrigation. Distillation is wood-fired, in traditional stills, at village scale rather than in an industrial plant.

Transport remains the most significant contributor to the finished product's carbon footprint. That's why we favour sea groupage over air freight for ylang-ylang and coconut oil: for a comparable volume, sea transport emits a fraction of the CO₂ of air freight.

We work directly with producers in Nosy Be, without an additional trading intermediary, which shortens the upstream logistics chain and allows better traceability for every batch.
