The process

From harvest to shipment

01

Harvest

Hand-picked, flower by flower. A flower is only picked once its centre turns red — a sign of full maturity and a key factor in the quality of the resulting oil.

02

Distillation

Steam distillation in a still, over 10 to 20 hours. The distillate is collected in five successive fractions, separated during distillation according to their density.

03

Control

Each batch is checked on site (density, refractometry) before being sampled for full laboratory analysis on arrival.

04

Shipping

Packing and shipping from Madagascar, with the export documents for each batch, then direct delivery to our professional clients.

Six grades

A fraction for every use

Steam distillation does not produce a single oil: it is collected in five successive , classified by the ISO 3063 standard according to density, refractive index and chromatographic profile. The complete oil is the whole distillation, unfractionated.
